Ukrainian artist and teacher of fine arts who relocated in Malta in 2010. Anna started to study art at the age of 12 years old at Fine Arts School no. 1 Krivoy Rog, Ukraine and later graduated at Krivoy Rog National University, Ukraine. She possess a Master’s degree in Fine Arts/Design and Pedagogy; and PhD in Pedagogy for Fine Arts. Her works are in oil, watercolours and pastels, they are characterized by bright and vibrant colours in the palette and dark shadows, building shapes of objects by strokes, contrasts in light and shadows (warm and cold). Art works include landscapes, portraits, animal portraits. Profs Verbenets paintings have been acquired by various persons throughout Europe and America. She had exhibitions in Malta, Gozo, Ukraine, Russia, Italy, Sicily, Austria. She is a member of Malta Community of Artists, Waterolour Society of France in Paris, Watercolour Art Malta and the Malta Society of Arts Manufacture and Commerce.These days teaches Fine Arts and Design Technology at San Andrea School in Malta, deliver specialized art courses at MCAST (Malta College Arts Science Technology) and paints in her studio in Matla. Anna’s works are also including publications about methods of teaching art, at the moment 19 works such as articles, theses in different science magazines, publications and conferences about methods of teaching and pedagogy.
